I'd placed the fragmented (casts) originally to get covered in the first time it snowed after Christmas as to really get to see the result afterwards. This could work under any natural material like sand or soil. These were the only things i could work with out creating some thing different, neither the less Its shown more of museum piece.
I also placed the fragmented Imperial Star Destroyer in snow the same time as the hilt, however wasn't as successful as the hilt due the scale of the pieces. I would end up placing the bridge end of the fictional capital ship into the snow to the right of the hilt. Pictured as if it crashed into the snow. Looking like its snowed in. Forgotten, lost and broken. Thinking about it I'm getting serious lost explorer ships entrenched in the show.
